This session introduces Tufts Research Technology's suite of AI Tools available through Open OnDemand, designed to give researchers secure, self-service access to AI capabilities on Tufts High Performance Compute (HPC) Cluster infrastructure. Attendees will get an overview of the available applications, including the Research Chatbot (powered by Ollama and OpenWebUI), LLM Notebooks for programmatic model access, and specialized tools for OCR and automated speech recognition (ASR). We'll cover how to launch these apps, select from the centralized model catalog, and understand appropriate guidelines for AI tool usage. This session is intended as a foundational orientation, with follow-up sessions to dive deeper into specific tools and workflows.
