Research Data Management Specialist

I am responsible for providing support across the entire research data lifecycle, ensuring data security, regulatory compliance, and the effective management of the research storage ecosystem. I collaborate with teams across the university to assist researchers in managing their data efficiently, maintaining security, and adhering to applicable regulations.
Nicholas Homenda is Head of Digital Initiatives for Tufts University's Tisch Library. The Digital Initiatives department is responsible for digitization, digital collections metadata, and assisting with service management of digital repository services at Tufts University.

Elizabeth McCall (she/her) is the research data librarian at Tisch Library. She is the library
contact for research data management for the School of Arts and Sciences and the School of
Engineering. She can help with topics such as data management planning, organizing data, and
sharing data.

I help Tufts offices and departments effectively manage University records by providing
guidance about records retention, secure and efficient storage, and confidential destruction. I
also assist staff and student organizations in identifying inactive records with long-term value to
Tufts that should be transferred to the Archives. And I oversee accessioning of new acquisitions
to the Archives.
Team Lead Research Data Management Services

I oversee a comprehensive suite of support services focused on regulated research data compliance, secure research computing, specialized research systems, and the research storage ecosystem. The Research Data Management Services (RDMS) team collaborates closely with researchers, colleagues from other TTS directorates, and stakeholders across various units, including the Office of the Vice Provost for Research (OVPR), Tufts Data Librarians, core facilities, and academic departments. Our primary mission is to align the University's computing resources with the needs of cutting-edge research across disciplines while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and fostering innovation.
Research & Instruction and Data Librarian, Hirsh Health Sciences Library
Allie Tatarian (they/them) is a data librarian, liaison for the Graduate School of Biomedical
Sciences, and former biomedical researcher. Allie is the main library contact for research data
management on the Boston Health Sciences campus and Cummings School of Veterinary
Medicine. Contact them for help with writing data management plans or advice on sharing
datasets.
Research and Instruction Librarian, Ginn Library (she/her)
I serve the Fletcher community. I teach data-related skills needed in research and consult with faculty and researchers on best practices for data management for their research projects.
